L134 rebuild

Well I'm now on block #2. The first block ended up being cracked and some of the bolts were were reamed out blah blah blah. Anyways I pulled another engine apart out of the jeep that I have been driving. Everything looked good except one of the cylinders had a deep score. I'm just crossing my fingers that it's not too deep to bore. The picture is the the piston out of the cylinder. What might have been the cause of this? If this endes up being a bad block i dont know what in going to do.

Looks like it took a couple of rounds from a .50 caliber....

You wonder how things like that happen...

You might be able to get the block sleeved if the rest of it is OK....

Turns out my engine had already been bored out 6 over. Cylinder 3 would have to be bored to 8 over. I read alot on the internet about having 8 over pistions could cause some over hearing issues, so unfortunately I'm going to 8 over and resleving all cylinders and going to the standard bore. I can't wait to get it all out back together and fire it up.

That piston came out of a jeep you were driving?  No noise?
