Been trying to set the preload. I even removed all the shims and still can move the knuckle. Could the male side of the knuckle were the bearing races go be bent? The Pax side set up ok.

Are you using a fish weighing scale to set the preload? Seems to me it's 12 to 16 pounds pull without the knuckle seal in place....
