M38 top bows
« on: February 26, 2014, 07:19:14 PM »
Does anyone here have an M38 with a complete set of top bows? I would like to see some pics of how it looks when it is all assembled. I'm going to make my own for my '49 and would like to see how the area for the door looks.

What is the actual length of the bows themselves?

gg, When you ask for length do you mean from bottom of socket, up one side, across top, down the other side to bottom of socket. If you will PM your email I can send you pics from smarter than me phone with dems.

From the top edge of the tub to top (along the length of the bow) and a vertical distance would be great. This would be for the both the middle one and rear. My email is bolducn20@aol.com. Don't mind posting it here because it is on the website. ;)

I have them on my M38.  I can take some measurements tomorrow.
There are some good pics of them on page 5 of my photobucket link (below). :)

I re-read what measurements you were asking for.  I won't have the measurement you need but I can give you actual measurement of the bows themselves.  I have never had them in the up position.  These are stock bows though so when they would be up, they would be where they are supposed to be.
