Hey Guys,

Can you tell me more about Surrey Jeeps?

Were they mostly 3a or 3b Jeeps? I even saw a cj5 one somewhere.

I find them really cute and we'd like to have one in our jeep library at MDJuan :)

Ummmm. what do you want to know about them.. We have a DJ board at the 3B page where a bunch of the Dj fans hang out.

Seems the Surrey is actually closer to a being a low hood , tailgate free 3B bodywise.  but it still uses the flathead. If anyone ever asks you how long Willys used the L head engine , thanks o the DJ series it was well into the 60's.

A real Surrey is also one of the most expensive flatfender jeeps you can own. The upholstery, hubcaps and bumpers are the valuable parts. Not many of them out there but lately they have been selling for bargain basement prices. (I have seen two sets of caps sell recently for $50 a cap. A few years back it was two or three times that, if you could find them. )
Owner of the world famous?? Pintojeep 3A and one yet to be named stock project 3A.
Based in central TX and upstate NY.

I've never seen one in person, but while looking at photos, they sure make me smile.  That is a happy little Willys.
