Hood blocks

I am trying to locate the place to install my hood blocks. I have the side to side location cause I want them right above the support brackets underneath. I am having trouble figuring out the front to back. I would think the top channel on the windshield should not rest on the block and obviously not the glass. When I move the blocks out far enough to  miss the channel it is too close to the edge of the hood. :-/ :-/ :-/  Help!!!  Thanks

Mac,
The stock position of the hood blocks has them in a position to make contact with the channel for the top.

There is really no other way to position them without resting on the glass.

Thanks Tim, I have a top channel from KW and I was worried about it getting bent with the windshield resting on it. I guess if it is tied down well so it won't bounce it'll be ok. My 3A had no channel when I got it.

I understand your frustration.  Hopefully the KW channel is up to the task.

No matter how tight I strap the windshield down, I still have some vibration.  It scratches up the channel and the hood block.  I finally decided to put some rubber cushions between them while I'm driving with the shield down.  I got tired of touching the paint up.

I also have to make sure the passenger wiper is flipped all the way to he right. If I leave it flipped left with the windshield down it will make contact with the hood and scratch it. My hood is a little goofy so not sure if that's an issue with all 3A's or just mine.

Hello, I have the same problem exactly, the dimensions of the blocks that I have are 11.2x3.8x4 centimeters of high, both are located at the same distance of the boss's center (33 cm) and to 3.5 centimeters of the boss's bank, I understand that starting from the CJ3A this is therefore the cleaners they already go located in the low part from the windshield to diferncia of the previous models where were up and for that reason it was necessary to put the tacos at different distances, I also find that the tacos of the CJ3A are but high that those of the other ones, I will thank a lot if somebody can give me a small drawing with the correct dimensions for the CJ3A, it could send this way them to make since I know a good carpenter, I wait their comments, greetings.
