I took the manifold off the L134 engine on my Hesse Hornet compressor to repair �the broken stud where the exhaust pipe attaches. � While it was off, I took the Carter off and and took it apart to clean it. . So now, a couple of weeks later, I can't figure out how the coiled spring on the heat riser goes. There is a metal "tab" attached to one of the four bolts on the junction where the exhaust and intake manifolds meet, �HOWEVER I cannot remember if the end of the spring goes under or over this tab. �Help, and thanks. �
