Leaf Springs

In an earlier post on rebuilding leaf springs (actually in many posts) members have commented on painting and luberacting each leaf. I asked a local spring shop what they do and he answered that they paint and use spray black grafite in between leafs. Just thought it was a different approach and wanted to pass it along.

That's pretty good information.  I have probably read many of the same posts on how to handle those darn things.  I signed up with the guys that said paint would rub off pretty quick, and decided not to pull mine apart.  (Maybe I'm just lazy)  I do like the graphite idea though.  Let us know if it seems to make a difference.

Graphite is like a dry lubrification. Great idea.
