Rear Axel Shims
« on: August 03, 2012, 11:05:56 AM »
Had the mdl 41 rear end rebuilt and now I need to shim the axel end play. I have a manual but it is just a bit hard to understand about the shimming process. Do both sides an a 49 CJ3A with Dana 41 get shims to allow for .001 - .006 or do you just add to one side? Seems to me you would do both.

Thanks,

As I understand it you have to shim each side.
