Bendix Joint

I should have red old post about it before going forward and try to fix it. I learned it on the hard way.
So while trying to replace the knuckle seal...I found out that it's possible to get the axle shaft left/right front fall apart in your hand if you go too far away with the steering knuckle.

Now I know that I have bendix style joint on my jeep!

They are not looking too bad.



But the front right one has broken spline. I'm also concerned with the mark and pinch on the axle.






What should I do? Replace it? Keep it? Try to find out the other piece in the differential?



I also have a broken yoke. It was already broken when I dismantled it so I think I will keep it like this and put back on my jeep. what do you think?

How does the surface look where the seal runs. If its rough you can use a speedy sleeve or replace it. This is on the yoke.

That's only a small piece missing but it could cause centrifugal imbalance at highway speed. Buy a replacement yoke, they're not expensive. The only way I know to break one like that is to blow a u-joint.

I'll buy a new yoke.

Can I have a bendix style joint on one side an a spicer style on the other side? Or should I replace both for the same style?

it must work ok, mine is like that.  i will make it right one of these days.  I think mine is a rezzepa and a bendix.  I thought it was wierd my front drivers side lugs are 3/4 and the rest 11/16.
