Hi:

I'm full of questions today.  Next on my list is the distributor.  Was considering going with Kaiser-Willys solid state electronic distributor.  The idea of no moving parts sounded good, again I am trying to make this jeep as functional as I can without getting to far out of the box.
Anybody have any experience with this system?  Ideas......opinions?

I have the same electronic distributor from KW that you mentioned.  Very happy so far, great performance.  I know many like to maintain the points and condensor which is part of the attraction of having an old vehicle like this, but I was thinking that for the best spark and economy, going electronic would be the best option for me.  I don't think you'd be disappointed, but they do look slightly different and you won't be fooling anyone that it is a 60 year old distributor.

Hey..thanks, thats all I need to hear.  Carl at Walck's said it was just a matter of cutting down on the moving parts and I'm all about durability.  This jeep I'm putting together has all ready been altered (the frame was beefed up and different bumpers welded on) so I'm not going to have a period correct showpiece anyway.  I just wanted to get a nice running old jeep that I could use and depend on and try to stay as close to original as possible. I've got a '49 that's really stock so I'm gonna try and be accurate on that one, when I get to it.
