I have a serial number tag with the number 453-GB1 12564.  If you can tell me what year and type this is, I'll tell you the rest of the story.  Thanks, Terry

Based on what I've found, it's a '53 cj3a serial number 12564. Numbering started at 10001, so yours was the 2,564th to come off the line that year.

JB    This is a Cj I bought from the middle of a field as a parts vehicle for another project.  The owner had used it to pull trees out of the woods.  It had set in the woods for many years.  It still has some usable parts.  Paid $40.  Thanks for the look up.  Terry
