Water
« on: May 11, 2011, 08:01:27 PM »
I realize after I get Beulah  up and running it would benefit me too carry extra water with me when trailing in the desert.....but...when I removed the yoke for the E brake today I drained about a gallon of water from the transfer case housing...I just started the repair on this rig so was surprised too say the least...any suggestions on how that amount of water could accumulate in the casing??short of parking it in a creek...I live at approx 6700 feet and we do get a lot of snow but dang..it would take a funnel and some serious plumbing too pull that off...What should I be looking for??

If there was no top on the Jeep rain water runs down the transmission shifter and slowly fills up the transmission. After the transmission is full of water it spills over into the transfer case and fills that up too.
