Well, there isn't a vacuum leak but it sure don't like the way I adjusted the idle bleed screw. I put a vacuum gauge on it and it told me I may have to do a valve job but it has good vacuum, 18-20 inches. I then started adjusting the idle bleed screw and the idle screw and got the engine idled down and the sputtering almost gone. I had the idle bleed screw in to far. Normally you screw it in until the engine slows a little and back it out 1/4 to 1/2 turn but it likes more like a full turn or more.
I am thinking the leaking valve may be causing that. Some day I may give it a valve job. Perhaps when I do the head gasket.
Well, it still runs nice for me so why get in a hurry, right.

I think this carb rebuild has solved some problems so it's a good move. It was fun doing it anyway.
