Thanks. I like it too. In some ways I don't want to paint it, but there's too much "boring" new metal that needs paint.
And, I'd like to bring this thread to a close by telling you all that today I successfully got this little rig legal, in my name, with the original S/N, registered with classic plates, and insured.
I filled out a DMV affidavit saying how I came about owning it, and that was it!
I can't believe after all these years it's legal, and I could theoretically take it for a drive.
Of course, I've got a dead battery, coolant in the oil, no air cleaner at all, massively dry rotted tires, and with no welting on the grille or weather stripping in the tool box lid, it sounds like a skeleton having a fit on a tin roof when I start it up and move it around.
But it's a Jeep! Woot!
