ok so ive been working on and replacing parts on my jeep for 2 weeks now ive got a new coil all new distributor parts new plug wires new plugs the carb works and the fuel pump works and im getting fuel the motor turns albeit not very quickly ive got voltage to all the parts so what am i missing i even squirted starting fluid and it doesnt seem to want to kick over

I would first remove a spark plug and see if it is wet with gas.

If it is really wet and you have been using the choke you may be severely flooded. I think you can look into the carb throat and with the throttle open you might see pooled gas in the intake manifold.

If it's just a little wet then probably no spark.

Check for proper points gap, power at the points( when open) and ignition timing.

i forgot to turn the camera on and film her starting up but this was immediately after she started and the temp rose well past 200 so next is the radiator and hoses and thermostat 180 degree which i have and new coolant and then oil

If the temp rise was fast, 3-4 minutes that says there's exhaust getting to the water. head gasket time.

that may be an issue but at the moment im sure its because there is hardly any coolant in the system lol

That'll do it too! 

Some (me included now!) drill a small hole in the thermostat to allow air and some coolant to pass to help avoid temp spikes.

i havnt taken off the housing yet but is the hole really that helpful ?

I think it's more of an extra layer of help.  Only this last time, when I initially cranked did it need burping.  So to avoid additional issues, I drilled a 1/8" hole.  It seems to help with getting the air out.  This is a modification.  I thought yours was out.  I don't know if opening yours up is necessary.  If it were me, I'd try first without. 

Consider when you put a new thermostat in down the road.

so i added more water to the system and got it started and up to temp again and this is where its at and im sure when i flush the system and add the right coolant amount and water and change out the thermostat she will be running fine
