radiator shroud
« on: October 28, 2018, 05:10:52 PM »
Hey gentleman,  I just received my radiator shroud from Walcks for my side mount radiator for my '51 3A. I'm having trouble figuring out how it mounts to the radiator. there are 3 small cutout slots on each side of the shroud looking like for small sheet metal screws, but i'm afraid they might pierce the radiator. has anyone installed one of these and how is it done?

Thanks guys for any and all info.....

Originally they used very short sheet metal screws. Be careful, it is easy to damage the core tubes!!!!

I measured mine once and took a couple pictures. They are short but I'd probably even dull the tip a little before installing....and be careful!

Thanks for the info and pictures but I decided not to go with the screws for fear of piercing the radiator.  I welded 4 L- brackets to the shroud with drilled holes and mounted it with the same bolts as the radiator

Excellent idea!
People think I go out of my way to * them off.
Trust me, It's not out of my way at all.
