So I just picked up a passenger seat from a swap meet. And it needs all new covers. Has anyone made their own and have a pattern? I just need to have some thing to last a year or two before doing a full restoration. I want to get it licenced and on the road first.

There is a pattern for 2A seats here.� The seat on a 3A is a little thicker and the back is a little shorter.� Are your springs in good shape, or even there?� I am going to be making springs and covers for my 49.

The springs on the driver might be in good shape. Even the covers are ok. The new frame is for the passenger.  The springs are their but rusted out. I was planning to use foam for the cushions.
I don't see a link to the cj2a pattern. But if it is the one I found online. That was my starting place. Right now I don't need factory replacement, just want something very close, I'm not even sure the frame I have is for a 3A, I was told it might be CJ5, but it will be close.

I forgot to put in the link, it�s there now.� I think the CJ3A seats are thicker than the 2A.� I have all the stuff ordered to make new springs, if they come out OK I might be making some to sell, we�ll see.� I�ll post the results of my efforts here.  I think the CJ5 used coil springs, the 3A used zig zag springs, 4� high.

Yep. Those are the ones I found. I plan to cross ref them with the drivers side I have. Thanks for the info.

I will keep an eye on your post to watch for any progress.
