Hi Gents,
Its pretty easy to check your windshield for the proper angle, My vent rode on the hood at one point as well, I found that the arms were slightly bent, it doesn't take much of an angle change to make a big difference. To check it, put your windshield up into place and lock it in, measure from the front of the windshield to the very rear of the tub at the driver and passenger side, that distance should be the same on both sides and if I remember it should be about 63.5 inches. I think the actual dimensions are in Bob W.s book. If someone has that number on the top of their head please yell out. If the dimension is less than the prescribed, your vent will ride on the hood.
