The color is #8 gray so don't ask any more about it except the original gray was going to be lighter but source was supposedly discontinued and the new source required more material minimum that New Life would buy. Fitting is pretty cut and dried although a couple things I learned. First make sure the nuts on each end of the rods that thread into the windshield are as far back and front of the threads as you can get them and make sure the windshield latches are unlocked. You also need to take the vertical rods off the tub� as they slip into a sleeve sewn into the top. I took the top piece and laid it over so the inside is facing up, then folded the side wings in and folded it until the piece was about 10" wide. This allowed me to support it from drivers side and feed the "rope: into the slot until it was well past halfway then I could pull it through from passenger side and used the mirror to keep it up and not fall sharply down the track. The top then unlaid across the center rod and pulled over the middle bow. I then slipped the vertical rods into the sleeves and fastened them to the tub. The one pic shows I used all thread couplings to run the bolts into as it would be a pia to hold a nut up under there. You need to push and pull a bit to get it all snugged up and fitted both sides

The next piece was the second top piece and I laid it up on the front piece opened and this allowed me to fasten the zipper easily then laid it over to the back of the rear bow. After that it's just fastening the connectors around the vertical and zipping in the side curtains on the 1 side and wrapping it around the rear corner and fastening it. The back curtain buttons in and when used as a 1/2 cab it has the longer piece with straps on it to go to the tub floor. I do have 4 footman loops that I need to put on behind the front piece for the straps that hold back of canvas behind and beside the seats, 2 each side. There also is a sleeve above the side curtains where a rod can go through and on the bow set this rod goes into holes in the tubing. I could slip it into the back bow but I have no hole to go through canvas into middle bough so I am not using it. I probably will  just slip a dowel through it for a stiffener. I will comment it is very well made and should hold up for a long time. Once I correct the doors and fit them going to be pretty snazzy.

Put passenger door on permanently tonight. I have to make some strike plates to keep canvas from getting worn and cut off bolt a little long I fitted for the latch. I don't know what correct installation looks like but considering it's a 2a door frame It appears to fit well. Access is good and visibility through window is actually better than I thought it would be. Weather cooperating I will do driver side work this weekend

I know the legacy about how long it take to get it but overall, What do you think about it? Is it a good product for the price? Would you recommend it? Is it well made?
Did you sent your door to New lifes to get it sew to it?

I always like Jonathan's top and I think your is looking very good also.

I am happy with the quality and have seen no flaws. Based on the experience I would not recommend New Life. I can only speculate but as a small business owner for 17 years you can't expect to have a good reputation and customer base by not being truthful up front about time frame for work and keeping customers informed. There is a tendency to say yes to every job when you know you can't do the work. Then you have to go through the big book of excuses. I have kept all the e-mails and clearly they do not reflect a truthful account from New Life. Unless I had a written agreement with a date certain to complete with some sort of recourse I would not have anything to do with New Life. I am hopeful they will get squared away but until evidence points that out you are taking a chance. If she had just said up yours I had absolutely no recourse except through lawyers and then it is just more money pouring out. You do send the frames and the skins are sewn on. I hope this helps. I do not want to be vindictive but I also do not want to help a problematic situation continue.
