Rain gutter

I finally decided to get a rain gutter.  Wondering if it goes between the hinge and the tub or just bolts up to the hinge under the bolts? 

Also, I'm curious if there is a good way to get these bolts in and out when I'm only one guy.  Just don't have enough hands or long enough arms to operate under the dash and in the engine compartment at the same time.  Even vice grips on the nuts have been problematic given the way the bolts come through the firewall.  Any brilliant insights?  Thanks a lot!

Hi Tom,
It goes behind the hood hinge.� Bob W suggested an easy way to do this by yourself.� Remove hood.� Install temporary studs in two locations. Slip on the gutter, then the hood.� Lock in place temporarily with a couple loose nuts.� Shift/Adjust hood as needed, then set the regular bolts in locations that are not filled with studs.� Lock them down, then pull the studs and set the final two bolts.

Or, wait until you get to South Dakota where 50 people will want to lend a hand. 8-)

Thanks a lot, Tim.  Thinking I may even push the bolts in from the dash side with a bit of JB weld under the heads to hold them in place for easier R&R in the future.  Any thoughts as to why this would be a bad idea?  I know it wouldn't look period, but not a lot of that going on anyway with my jeep.

Nevermind.  I discovered that two of the nuts had been tacked in place, and also, it would be impossible to get the nuts on as the rain gutter edge would be in the way - just no clearance for the nuts.  Did it the "Hawkey" way, and all is right with the world!
