Wiper Arms - Range of Motion
« on: October 13, 2016, 11:39:47 PM »
Does anyone know what the range of motion degrees should be?

My wiper motors are wiping through at least 120 degrees of motion...

Granted I have M131 motors but I understand these should work .... :o

CJTHREEA,
I don't know the actual range of motion, but 120-130 is about all you want.

Assuming they are positioned in the stock location, when 'parked' at 0, the top of the wiper comes pretty close to the edge of the windshield when reaching the degrees mentioned above.

I can measure the angle tonight if you want it, but my motors are SF-616...The standard issue for the CJ3A.

Some arms can be adjusted to sit flat on the lower windshield rubber which will give you more range. 3A or M38, not 2A. John

Thank you Hawk!

I'm thinking mine are getting around 120/130 as well.

Is starting position towards drivers side or passenger side?

I have a 2A but it has a 3A windshield so I figured it more appropriate to post here.

After looking at the size of the arms and blades I had the wrong ones too as I've seen the 3A windshields blades are 9" - just not sure if my arms are wrong too - I'll have to look for a model number or something on them.
