ROPE CHANNEL GUIDE ON WINDSHIELD
« on: May 21, 2015, 10:25:45 PM »
We finally ordered our new top from Beechwood. Does anyone have the measurement on how far down the guide needs to be for a canvas top on the windshield? Thanks so much!

Hi Trish,
Are you replacing this horizontal channel?

If so, when measured from the center point of the windshield, it is 3" from the top of the windshield, to the top of the channel the stands proud of the windshield.

Wow thanks for getting back to me so quick. We wanted to install this when we replaced our cracked windshield. It would be easier to do when the rubber gasket is out.

The frame from Beachwood was shipped yesterday and the canvas will follow in two weeks +/-. We can't wait to finally have a top on our Jeep.
Dan, from Beachwood, has been super helpful and has called several times with questions for us to make sure the top is exactly what we wanted and will fit correctly. He is shipping us a template so we can have all the footman loops installed and windshield rope guide on when the canvas arrives.
We plan to take photos of each step of the installation so we make sure we do it correctly.
