All I see is fine art from your picture! If I had the space I would probably be a collector as well. The problem is I hate to sell any of my stuff once I work on them, and I only have 2!

I don't know for sure why the body tags were not installed for a brief period. At that point in time the contract with American Central was ending and Willys was preparing to build the body tubs in its own shop in Toledo. I'm sure that had something to do with it. I just quickly scanned your links but I couldn't tell if the body tags came back after a brief hiatus or if they disappeared for the remainder of 2A production?

They came back. I also track the type of screw that was used to hold them to the firewall and if the body tag was painted with the body.

Whitey is an early 3A.   It has a body tag. (Thus my confusion on the missing 2A body tags)   According to the first listed article, the body tags for the 3A came back for a short time after Willys started to make their own sheet metal components.

Just to clarify the body tag thing....
CJ-2As had body tags except for a short period of time in 1948.
CJ-3As had body tags in the beginning and then early on the body tags were eliminated for good.
