Todays trip to some dugways.
« on: September 13, 2013, 02:06:12 AM »
Today was a good day weather and trail wise. Before lunch I went out to inspect a new dug way, found it and tried it out and on the way back to town I saw a ruin. I wanted to visit it after lunch with Calvin.

After lunch we visited it and Calvin said he had not noticed it before. We sat there a while enjoying the view from the ruin and just thinking.

Then we went on the the dugway I had just visited and went down it, followed the trial and found another dugway leading up the side of the bluff. It led to a drill site on a bulldozed flat area. We went back down and up the other dugway to to top of the Mesa and on to the next dugway I had found.

We went down it and took the trail to the left and followed it across the bottom to a dugway on the other hill side. When we got to the top we were stopped by a fence. We climbed across the fence and walked to another flat area where it appeared they had drilled a core sample.

Here's a video of me crossing a washout and then climbing the dugway to the fence.

Here is the video of us climbing out of the dugway.

Then we went to a dugway on the West side of the Mesa that leads down into Lower Recapture that we travel a trail on. It T's into the trail a little past half way through the trail. It was getting dark so I drove back up the dugway and out the Mesa to the gravel road leading back to town. We got home at dark.
