I will post some pictures tomorrow but I wanted to do an update to my rear bench seat frame. I purchased a new bench seat frame and much to my surprise it was a short back brace (13 1/2"). Back pan matches bottom pan - okay no problem Beechwood Canvas did an outstanding job on the seat covers.
This is the big problem - during the FCT my son and I were sitting in the back seat and all of a sudden we both felt like the seat leaned back! Upon further inspection the seat did "recline" about 1 1/2" just far enough to rest on the tailgate. I noticed where the paint at the radius from the seat bottom to the back brace had flaked off on both sides. Now both my son and I don't weigh over 350 combined so what happened? My guess is that the seat tubing is very thin compared to original equipment. This really bites.......I was able to bend the bench seat back into normal position but I know this is just a temporary fix. If this thing moves again I'm going to throw this POS away and look for an original bench seat.
