This is a connecting channel between two of the 28 lakes that are all connected. Great place to paddle. A few years ago I did 25 miles in one day.
Ten miles from the nearest town, out in the forests of the northern Wisconsin boonies. No wifi but would you believe solid 4g cell phone coverage? They put in a new cell node since the last time we were up there. Back then cell coverage was nill, nada, nothing.
I logged in a few times to check on new member applications.
I tethered my laptop to my phone and it worked great.
Some day I'll take a Jeep up there. There are places in the national forest where you can drive old logging roads.
