Here's to hoping all had a great day with family and friends!!!
My son came home on Wednesday so we grabbed an assortment of shooting irons and went out the range at Dad's farm.
The 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser did a good job at 300 yards, but I wouldn't brag about the groups, still alot of fun to shoot.
The 6.8 SPC AR- well ny son put a 1.5 inchgroup on the 200 yard target, Mine was 4 inches. I'm still claiming bragging rights as I built the gun and the load. Dad needs all the help he can get...
The Muzzel loaders, a 50 cal Hawken (mine) and the 45 cal inline ( his) were a ball to shoot, smoke and noise and bowling pins flying all over the place.
The 1911 made a play as well and again, how do you say no to that?
It was warm and sunny, what a great day, and did I tell you about the exploding targets ? You have to try that - we used 1lb tannerite kits from a local sporting good store- and it did not take the neighbors long before they drove by to see what happened!!!
What a hoot.
Hope you all had as much fun as we did, take care.
