It's a propane cannon isn't it? Will it shoot potatoes?

Yup, propane powered potato cannon. The ignition source is a buzz coil built with a Willys coil, a Chevy condensor, and a Bosch 8 pin relay. Fun to build and more fun to shoot.

Wow, that's high tech !! When I was a kid, we built them out of PVC pipe, a Coleman lantern lighter and moms hairspray (fuel) !!

A lot of farmers have them on a timer.  Every so often they fire off a few rounds...just loud noise.  It is for the watermellon patches to keep the birds and other animals from destroying the crop.

Now you need to build a bigger one to hang on the back of the jeep!  :)

Better be alert, I think I saw a squad of angry wood chucks approaching from the northwest in that photo and it looked like they meant business!!!!!! ;D
