My 1949 cj3a

Hey all m, this is my first time posting here though I have read a lot on this website. I was given a 1949 Willys CJ3A by my grandpa five years ago when I was 14. Yes that makes me 19. He said I could only have it if I had it running by my 16th birthday, he got first ride, and if I started it I had to finish it. In the first year and a half before I turned 16 I pulled the motor and rebuilt everything. The carter carb gave me quite the headache. Even took that to be professionally rebuilt and it still quit on me :'(. But I had it running on time. When I learned to drive it I gave grandpa first ride.
Now three years later and a move from Colorado to Kentucky, I met a body and paint guy and we set out to finish it. He joked that I should get a welder and learn how to weld and he would help me paint it. Little did he know I would take home up on it. I learned to weld putting my Jeep back together after cutting it up. Now after five years of dreaming my Jeep is done.....until I decide to fix other stuff anyway..... you guys know, Jeep disease[ch128514]. Anyway thought Id send some pics

Great looking jeep and even a better story on how it got that way.

Thanks for the pictures.

Lots of satisfaction in learning to do it yourself!
