Another one followed me home.
« on: July 02, 2016, 09:21:37 AM »

I have joined the CJ3A club!  I picked this up last night.  A pretty complete rig.  Im not sure what im going to do with it yet.  The motor is locked up, if I can get it running fairly cheaply I am going to keep it as a woods truck.  If not it will probably get parted out. Ill update my thread as I work on it!
This is the first set of 6.50x16 CO-OP branded buck shots ive ever seen.  Most ive seen were bigger.

Nice find. I'm also trying to decide if I want to install a 1/2 cab on my 3A. Looking at this pic is another vote for me in the "Yes" column.

Serial number is 28337.

The half cab is definitely staying on.  It's welded to the tub and windshield!

I'll post more pics later.

Looks like a winner.  From the current view, parting it out would be a shame.  Love the half cab.

I can't wait to see more photos!!! Can you take a photo of the top of the front or rear axle where the bumpstop would touch under full suspension compression?

Thanks!

Ill have to get the picture of the axle this afternoon.  I also got the radiator and the starter that they removed.  I filled the cylinders with transmission fluid and marvel mystery oil but she seems pretty stuck.  Ill probably end up yanking it and pulling the head to have a look.

Trying to determine when they eliminated the flat bumpstop pads on the axle housings.
