Classifieds rules.....
« on: July 09, 2012, 10:44:57 PM »
To make it simpler for everyone, please adhere to the normal courtesies for classified postings..

Sellers:

1: Price each item. Please do not list prices as best offer or highest bid..

2: List your location with at least state and city in your ad. Earth is not an appropriate location... ::)

3: For now we will allow links to Ebay ads and sightings of other folks jeeps for sale. If it starts to clog up the system I will have to change this somehow. Non 3A/Jeep stuff goes in the your other junk section.

4:Provide good contact info..... Use the PM system, provide an email, or phone number. (and then please reply, even if something is already sold.)

5: Please list multiple items in one ad.. Do not make six ads for 6 Cj3A parts.. This moves everyone else's ads down the list of what can be seen on the first page...and people start to grumble.

Our legal department(Dewey, Cheatem and Howe) asks that we add the following verbose statement:

Please no selling of loose titles or data vin plates, unless a jeep is included with them.

The 3A page provides classifieds as a service to our readers. We have no stake in any of these sales, and no part of your negotiations with a seller. Caveat Emptor applies just as it does all over the internet. If there is a serious problem you cannot work out you may contact us but about all we can do is ban a member from selling here or delete an ad.

Please do not use the classified section as a place to bash a seller. If you believe the price is too high, and you want the part, go ahead and use the PM system to make an offer. If you just want to tell everyone this seller is nuts, don't bother posting about it. Chances are we already know, and we want to keep the bashing to a minimum. The seller will figure out eventually that they are asking too much.

Hopefully this will be something we all can live with, and isn't too restrictive.
