M416 Trailer
« on: June 07, 2016, 08:51:00 PM »
I was driving a back road to work a couple of weeks ago and saw this trailer sitting in front of a small engine shop.  After inquiring with the owner, he said he would not sale it to me, but he would trade for a pickup bed trailer.  He only used it for hauling wood in the winter.  I went to local auction the next weekend and bought an old GMC pickup bed trailer.  He and I were both happy with the trade.  I'm going to start taking it apart this weekend to get ready for sandblasting!

Cool trailer!  Make sure and bring it to the Willys Reunion in Columbia, MO in August!

Finally got around to working on this project.  Frame and tub got sandblasted.  I used the POR on the frame and the tub was painted Potomac Grey using the code someone had posted on here.  I wanted to see it in person before I used it on my 3A.  Very happy with how it turned out.  The grey was a little lighter than I was expecting but still a very nice color.

Very nice!  It looks really good behind your truck.
