Foot starter

Is there supposed to be anything around or over the opening in the floor that the foot starter rod comes through?
My hole is a little bigger than it should be i think..

There is a wooden block that screws to the floor. Check Bob W's site for the dimensions....

We have some info on our home page links but it is mostly incorrect, especially about where the spring goes..That will get corrected in time.

I made my block out of composite decking board to avoid rot. �After a coat of paint, you can barely tell its not real wood.

Im thinking maybe a trim ring from the tcase shifters and a flat piece of rubber?
