Dana 41 Hub Reassembly

I am in the middle of rebuilding my rear hubs.  I have the new inner oil seals and bearings in and packed with grease.  Shims, bearing retainer and backing plate installed as well.  All that is left is the gasket - outer seal - gasket - cover.  Do I need to use any kind of sealant between the gaskets? Dry? Permatex?

You are probably fine if you install them dry.  That said, I coat all surfaces with a very thin layer of Permatex 2.

Permatex sounds like a good idea.  After all this work I don't wanna pull it all apart if there's grease all over the brakes.
