I tried the belts today and I think that the angle is better with them mounted just a little higher than the hat channel, as you have yours. And maybe 6" or so back from the riser....I'll work on it some more before drilling though!

When I set them I clipped them and pulled them back until they fit me on the hips good then marked the spot. It may be a difference in size among folks since nothing is adjustable on the jeep. I am 5'9" about 185 with a 33 inch waist. I won't get any taller but the other stuff is subject to change.
