Double check with Bob W, but 1951 3A certainly did not have a frame number.
I expect the reason was because those frames were factory built and not outsourced.

I looked at Bob Westerman's book "The Civilian Jeep Model CJ3A" and on page 3, it states:
"Unlike many other Jeep models, CJ-3A's did not have frame numbers...."
Bob W's book references tons of Willys factory documents and, in my opinion, is considered very technically accurate.

and al the bycomming damage ,leaking carterpan,clutch mechanism ,motormounts all that
it has an 225 buick wich i had in my jeepster too ,great engine
