I just rebuilt my steering column/ steering box/new pitman arm /new bellcrank  :oMy DRAGLINK & Steering box and steering shaft were not original they were off a tractor or something :o the drag link had another section welded onto it to make it about 4in. longer :-?I had another willys for parts so I  rebuilt those original parts and am ready to install the draglink to the bellcrank I know which end is for bellcrank and which end is for pitman arm BUT WHAT IF someone has switched the locations of the components in the drag link [ I rebuilt the drag link with a kit from Walcks because springs were broke and parts warn in the old one]  As you all know the drag link is different on each end from the front/bellcrank end it is  8in.to where it starts the bend / on the back pitman arm end it is 10 in. to where it starts to bend>this is how mine came off & I plan to install it the same but just want to confirm  :-/Thanks for your help this sight is the greatest !!!!

Thanks for the reply!
I cut some shims and shimmed it out yesterday  :)
I replaced my old pulley with a new one from Walcks / the shims made for a great fit !

I just replaced the timing cover gasket / after takeing the timing cover off to paint it & inspect the timing gears / with a great looking one from Walcks{ was about 3 to 4 times as thick as the original which was paper type material } ! But when i put the cover back on ! now the pulley hits the cover {before reaching 40 ft. lbs. torque}   I either can pull the cover off & remove this wonderful gasket & use a thin coat of silicone gasket maker or shim the pulley out to clear the cover ???? If I shim it it will match the water pump pulley great !
   Suggestions appreciated ????
I have some shim makeing material but would probably have to use a hole saw to cut out the center as I think the material is too thick to punch out with the hole punches I have ?
Thanks in advance for any help !
 I LOVE MY WILLYS !

I need to remove my timing gears so I can replace my motor mount plate ( The original has been welded in both sides where the actual motor mounts bolt onto the plate )
I have removed the timing gear cover and see in the past new timing gears were installed ;D I have a puller and just need to know the best way to remove the gears & insure I get them back on indexed correctly so as not to throw the timing off :-?
Thank you all in advance for the replys !!!

I like that idea !     Thanks F Bill
Use my Floor jack under the oil pan (with a 2x12 to evenly distribute the weight) to slightly raise the motor & change the motor mounts / Could I then drop the crossmember & replace the transfer case & transmission mounts & re-bolt the crossmember & then let the floor jack down & attatch the motor to the motor mounts ???????? :-?
Thank you all again for your help :)

I used some closed cell insulation made for water pipes I got at Lowes Hdw. It has a peel & stick backing so I just cut a piece to the width of my tank then cut it into two pieces length wise - peeled the backing & stuck it on the bottom of my tank !
