First is the 10 spline axle shafts, not a lot of options.
I have overcome this problem with custom made 30 spline shafts.
Next is offset rear axle. Would be easy to swap in a later 30 spline Dana 44 but they are centered and that would require a different transfer case.
Anything is possible, just depends on how badly you need a locker and how much you want to spend.
I have done just about everything that can be done to early Jeep vehicles so you can get anything you want and your imagination is only limited to your budget".
I'd prefer not to mention names here but this quote is from a machinist with years of experience with flat fenders.
maybe you could get a tj rear dana 44 and cut it down so that it is off set vs centered that way it came ?. then just get one custom shaft for the short side, and remove the coil brackets. i've been looking for a off set 78 quadra trac rear. i saw one, it was over 1000$. you could do a full float kit, i believe that was mentioned already. i care to agree with the above that there could be more issues then the locker
