I've exchanged the 15" wheels and tires on my 3a with the 16" wheels and tires on the CJ-5. They bolt up and work fine, but both are narrow tires....215 radials on the 16" rims and 7:50 NDCC on the 15's

As far as the lug pattern is concerned it's 5 on 5.5 :

Jeeps with 5 on 5.5" Bolt Pattern:
* 46-86 CJ (All Models)
* 63-73 Full Size Cherokee/Wagonner (SJ)
* 62-71 Galdiator Series Truck (All Models)

Not sure about the offset between different models.

If you are not going stock, 5 on 5,5 is also the same lug pattern as on early Suzuki Samurai's, if your looking for something different.

Largest tires you can fit without lift and clearance issues is 31 x 10.5 i believe, not entirely sure on that one though.

I have not had a chance to fully think this through, but figured I would ask the experts here first  :)  Question about wheels and tires - I have a 1950 CJ3A that is stock.  I am wondering if wheels and tires from a 69 CJ-5 will fit?  Is the lug pattern the same on the 3's and 5's? The tires off the CJ-5 are 78-15's.

Thanks!
