Gray Wolf Virtual Models
Jean-Pierre “Gray Wolf” Demmerle is working on recreating Willys vehicles in detailed form using several 3 dimensional CAD (Computer Aided Design) programs. He has the actual 3 view drawings that were drawn by the Willys engineers back in 1942. He even goes to the extreme as making each individual bolt according to the plans and as a matter of fact even makes sure that the firing order corresponds to the each spark plug and to the distributor cap! He is designing the models so they can be utilized by other interested modelers for the gaming and movie industry. Wolf has done just about every Willys vehicle from the first Willys Quad and MA all the way to the modern Jeep. Wolf tells me: "I have a long time fascination with the Willys which goes back many years. I first bought a Willys CJ-2A before I finished High School and I had it for many years. Then when I went to Europe I found another one. I live in Europe now in Switzerland and over the years I have owned in total 4. When I had to sell my last Willys I figured I wanted to do one in virtual reality, but this soon spiraled out of control and have now done 26 flat-fendered models from the Willys Quad to the 1977 Jeep. I will likely keep working on the Willys to eventually make all to the models that were available but my all time favorite is the flat-fendered models." Wolf can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to contact him to use his models for anything.
