I don't know yet how to fix it. Actually, look like the problem is with the admin talk section. It does'nt really exist and has the same name has the annoucement section. I asked help from YaBB support and they told me that something was wrong with the creation of that section right from the beginning. Both board got the same board ID name which is not allowed. The converter used for upgrading the forum didn't known how to deal with this and it combined them. (Like in he old movie blockbuster "The fly") I think we will need to delete both and recreate them. Let me think about it. January 5th, 2015; OK it's fixed now. I deleted and recreated them. My 98 yr old Dad has been in hospital for the last 2 1/2 months and I've been there almost every day. All I've been doing here is an occasional login to check for registration requests, trying to keep up. I have a free day today and have found all the activity going on. Wow, what a surprise. I caught up all the registration requests here and posted a couple things on the 3B forum. So I see you're thinking of some kind of automated registration process to carry the load. So far it's been only about a dozen people coming over from the 3B. Things with my Dad are getting much better and two of my sisters are coming soon to help so I'll be able to keep up with registrations by the existing method. If it will make life a little easier for you to not have to worry about a registration process, leave it as it is. You'll have enough work trying to convert the database and all the thread content. Don't worry about me and registrations. I'll do it. Probably not more than a dozen or twenty so far. Perhaps one reason is that the majority of members on any forum don't participate much. The vast majority of activity is generated by less than 10% of the membership. So I expect to see most of the 3B forum members lost during the transition. Not sure what to do about that. As long as the old URL for the 3B forum is kept alive, a message can be posted that cannot be ignored, telling people the info has been joined in the new 3A/3B forum. Then give the standard method for joining this forum. It's not hard or confusing. Just follow the simple directions. As I register people, I find about one out of 25 doesn't read the instructions and sends me a request without giving me a chosen username. I just email them back and ask them to choose. Once they respond, I register them. Not a big problem.
