Ryan from Russellville AR
« on: April 24, 2013, 10:24:34 PM »
Im a new member here from Arkansas.  I hope yall will let a 2A owner lurk around on the 3A board even if I dont have one!  I currently have a 1948 2a that im working on.  Ive almost owned a 3A in the past, I redid a 52 M38 a few years back.  I figure the more jeep forums I get on the more knowledge I can pick up :)

No problem.
You'll notice I'm a forum Admin and don't own a 3A either.  :D Go figure.
All are welcome to learn and contribute.

At least 2As are more related to the 3As than 3Bs. (this is gonna hurt!)  ;D

HEY...Who keeps letting in all these off topic jeeps????? ;D ;D ;D ;D John, I thought we talked about this..... ;)

Heck, I don't even own a real 3A, unless you count a parts pile in the yard as one. Pintojeep is as close as I get ,and a 48 2A is pretty close too. I think Nate and Pascal are the only admins who can genuinely say they have a stock 3A. And we aren't so sure about Nate with his dual carbs and other things he keeps adding to his jeep. ;)

Welcome, stick around and join in the fun!!

Yeah, we did.
And if you remember, I said that my next Willys (subject to wifely approval >:() would be a 2A.
Sigh.
That's the kind of statement that could start a flame war on some forums. :D

As you can see Ryan, we have a lot of fun joshing each other on this forum. We try to keep it as open and friendly as we can without inviting in everything under the sun (like Ford products). Oops, isn't there a half Willysin this group with a Ford engine or something? ;D

Welcome Ryan.
I too have a rare 1948 CJ3A.  Long ago I was driving back from an ice cream shop when my unrestrained 2A windshield flew up and, along with my vanilla shake, came apart.  A replacement windshield happened to be a 3A and now I have made it look like an M38.  I may need counselling.
If its not broke, work on it till it is
