FNG - North Central Florida
« on: January 14, 2013, 05:08:51 PM »
Hey,

I just joined this forum. Been lurking a while - reading (learining as much as I can.

Projects:
'42 Willys MB - Had a Chevy 350 - but will get L-134. She has earned her wrinkles - enter WW-2 in Italy and went to Germany before being shipped back to U. S. Putting it back to wartime configuration. It will not be a show poodle, but as nice as I can afford. WILL be driven a lot - offroad too. Also has her choice - M1919 or M2HB when its done.

'52 M38A1 - Was USMC, I thought I was getting some "Jeep parts" but turned out to be an almost complete M38a1. As I was trailering it home, I thought Its too nice to part out.

'60 Willys truck - Flathead 6 4WD - pretty nice little truck. Has electrical gremlin - need to be exeorcised out of it.

'71 Jeep Renegade-1

Plus a few Mope projects.

Regards,

It's good to see a monster truck being converted back to a classic instead of the other way around. I'm all for obscene horsepower overkill in most applications but not in an MB.

And I'll add the usual new member fine print here too:

***Failure to post pics - lots of pics - of your current Willys collection will result in continual harassment from other members**** ;D

All progress halted while I was primary care giver for neighbor. He passed away in
Sept. I'll get back to things soon.

Yep, the link works. Like the MB and the 'accessories' you have planned.  :D

You appear to be missing a couple entries to your fleet.... 3A...2A.

This needs to be remedied soon!! ;)

As mentioned, it's good to see an MB converted back! That's a real honor to a terrific little vehicle.

Show us some of your goods!!

I'll try to get some pics of the Truck & Renegade. I also inherited piles o' jeep parts, but mostly newer (intermediate jeeps & stuff) than you guys want. It IS nice to be on a site that doesn't get into squabbles over wavy washers and the fact I do not have an MB block in my jeep.

Some of us have newer projects going as well so don't be afraid to post other stuff you have for sale as well. A lot of these guys are sitting on piles of old parts that you may need and would be willing to trade for something newer. Welcome and can't wait to see pics of your toys!
