I've made a decision. Because of the decline in my wife's mental health, Dementia/Alzheimer's, I will be closing OJC as of December 31, 2026. I will need to spend full-time caring for her. I will not be accepting any new jobs as of today, 4/23/2026. I will fulfill my outstanding obligations to my customers. After that, I'll build out my good cores and sell them on the various websites I frequent and/or on eBay. Everything Jeep will be for sale. OJC.com doesn't get much traffic, so I'll probably let that go as well. And I apologize to my good friends who have stood by me for all these years.

First of all, I'm truly sorry to hear about your wife's condition. Family always comes first, and I wish you, your wife, and your family strength and peace during this difficult time.

I wanted to ask you something. Since you mentioned that OJC may eventually be taken offline, have you thought about what will happen to all of the technical information you've built over the years?

Your articles, carburetor information, and all the knowledge you've shared have helped countless Willys owners, including many members here on CJ3APage. It would be a real shame if that information were ever lost.

If you ever decide that you'd like to preserve it for future generations of Willys enthusiasts, I'd be honored to help. Whether that's archiving the material or incorporating selected technical articles into CJ3APage (with your permission and full credit, of course), my goal is simply to make sure your knowledge and contribution to the Willys community are never lost.

There's absolutely no rush, and no pressure whatsoever. I completely understand that your focus needs to be on your family right now. I just wanted you to know that the offer is there whenever the time is right.

Thank you for the update. I'm really glad to hear you've decided to keep the site going. That's great news for all of us who have learned so much from your knowledge over the years.

I also wanted to clarify what I meant by my offer. My intention was never to copy your work or compete with your site.

As you probably know, I've been rebuilding and preserving CJ3APage. My thought was that, if you ever decided to retire your site, perhaps some of your technical articles, guides, application lists, and other reference material could live on through CJ3APage, with your permission and with full credit given to you as the author.

One of the reasons I feel so strongly about this is that we've already lost valuable Willys resources over the years. For example, the jeepsurreygala.com website completely disappeared, along with a tremendous amount of valuable information about the DJ-3A. Once those sites are gone, much of that knowledge is simply lost.

I believe your work is an important part of the Willys community, and it would be a shame to see that knowledge disappear someday. My goal has always been preservation, not ownership.

I've come to realize that preserving the technical knowledge of our Willys community is just as important as preserving the Jeeps themselves.

Hopefully, that day is still many years away. I'm genuinely happy to hear that Old Jeep Carbs will continue, and I wish you and your family all the best.

No worries. My website is a free library open to all who care to understand and learn how and why their motor works. My motivation is based on my experience as a flight instructor for helicopters and airplanes, which included helping the A&P mechanics with periodic maintenance and repairs. I wanted to understand and be able to pass on the finer points of the machine I operated to my students.

Then came 18-Wheelers. Then came Jeeps.

I became a student again, and again. I learned Jeeps under the tutelage of men like Sean, late of the CJ2A Page, and so many others able and willing to pass on their knowledge and experience freely. On my site, attribution is given to those who signed their work. I make claim only to my opinions based on my experience. The sources and information I work with are open source, gathered over the years, so please help yourself and others along the way.
