seat frames

I am looking for seat frames for a cj3a.All the cj3a jeeps for sale seem to have modified seats in them.Where did all the original seat frames go?Can,t find any for sale.What gives?

Hard to say who has a "parts barn" in their back yard.  Posting like this usually sparks a response.

If you get no hits, I recommend Harry Sheets, http://www.midwestwillys.com/ , as he has a nice inventory of original parts.

Also, shop some of the military vendors.  I'm guessing the 3A and M38 may share the same seat frames.

The 3A and 3B seats should be the same.  I think the 2A seats are a bit shorter.

I think M38 driver seat would fit, but it's taller than CJ3A driver seat by 2-3 inches because the M38 gas tank is larger (13 gallon) than the CJ3A tank (10 gal I think).

I believe the passenger seats are the same.

QTM in Georgia has a stack of M38 seat frames on fleabay.
Shipping cost would probably be huge.
