Heater delete plate
« on: February 01, 2021, 08:14:36 PM »
I’m looking for the plate that attaches to the firewall that covers the hole where the heater used to go. I believe it’s called a heater delete plate. I’ve got a ‘61 CJ5, and I’m going to remove the heater, but would like the plate that covers the firewall hole.

Thanks!

I don't go looking for CJ5 parts much and this was new to me.  Is this what it looks like?

(I googled, found and ebay listing, saw the manufacturer name and searched their website to find this)

Rus! You came through again!

Funny thing: I saw the plate you mentioned on eBay, but it was sold before I could close the deal. I didn't look closer at the ad, and missed the name of the manufacturer. It turns out he is only about ten miles from me.

Picking it up tomorrow!

Good!  It looked simple after seeing the images.  But if you can buy one already cut and drilled and even drive to pick it up even better.  Take the CJ and test fit it in the parking lot:  Bonus!
