Thanks! I am in a holding pattern right now, body and parts are at body shop. I am trying to leave the guy alone and let him work, but I can't help driving by and looking through the door!  I think I have everything I need to put it back together, can't wait!

Just an update: still waiting for the body shop to finish the paint work. Chassis is complete and I'm running out of things to do! I did put a set of new springs and shocks under my M38 while I was waiting.

More progress, everything has been painted with epoxy primer. we went over a few things that need to be corrected before the Spruce Tip Green paint goes on. Getting exciting!

I wanted to make sure everything was still OK with the engine since I did all the cleanup work on it, so I started it up for the first time since the tub was removed. Started quickly and ran fine, although I only ran it for a few seconds as there is no cooling system.

Still waiting for the body shop to finish the tub and parts.

Well, looks like the body shop guy has let me down (again). It has been 7 months, with little progress since Christmas, and the fellow that I borrowed the rotisserie from now wants it back. I plan to go next Tuesday and pick up all my body parts and all the paint I bought and bring it home. With things the way they are right now, I'd like to get everything back to my shop so it will at least be in one place in case anything happens to me. Maybe later this year, if I survive the coronavirus pandemic, I may try to paint it myself. This will be the last post to my rebuild thread for some time. Good luck, everyone and stay safe.

Chuck,
I feel your pain.  Same issue for me while in Kansas.  Continuous delays until I finally had to pickup and move to Alabama.  Stay safe, the jeep will be there waiting!

I tried to pick up my stuff today, but the shop is locked and the guy is not answering his phone. I will just keep waiting, I guess. I don't know what I will do about the rotisserie.

I guess it does not matter now, our town has gone to a 24 hour curfew until at least April 15. Stay safe, everyone.

Really sorry to hear that the body guy shafted you, Chuck.  You seem to be handling it well with patience and grace, so good on ya!  I think I'd be furious if that happened to me.  I hope you will have no issues getting in to the shop and getting your stuff.  Good luck to you!

I just finished my two year, 3B project, and also chose the spruce tip green paint. I think you will be very happy with it.  Its very unusual, and a real head turner. My wife  liked red because it is easier to sale. I must say, your tub is amazing shape.
I sprayed my tub myself, in the yard, with a harbor freight $30 spray gun. Came out fine.

Good luck
