Cowl Seal Installation
« on: April 06, 2016, 08:42:52 AM »
I am looking at the cowl seal that came with my new tub and windshield and thinking that there mus be a trick to its installation.  The parts manual has 17 pan head screws; the windshield frame of course has not holes and the rubber seal is very stiff.

I would appreciate a picture or two that shows the installation and any tricks that you may have on locating the seal/holes.

Jim did you get a body kit?  The oddball looking bent cowl seal that came with my kit was crap.  I got one of the better ones from Ron Fitzpatrick.  I had my old windshield frame to compare but I centered mine and drilled and screwed from the center out to keep it tight.  I did have to trim some of the ends down so the windshield would clear the cowl when closed.
