The old window frame is actually in pretty good shape. I didn't use it because I ordered the whole kit including the windshield.
It is worth noting that I did not have any issues with the tailgate; it fit fine with everything aligned. The only other tweaks aside from the windshield have been having to trim tub in order to accommodate the shifters. The trimming should be largely invisible under the rubber boots.
Two of the most important tools for tub and body part installation are a Dremel tool equipped with a cutoff wheel or a grinding wheel, and a round metal file. The round file is a particularly quick and effective tool for enlarging and/or extending holes in the sheet metal in order to align bolts with the captive nuts.
I will try to take some more pictures this weekend.
