Whether it's Normandy blue or purple with line green flames, I'm not going to be painting it myself. That's one of the few parts of this project that I'm going to farm out to a professional.
When I learned to drive, both my parents' cars were stick shift, so that's what I learned on. I hated it at the time, but I'm so glad I had to go through that. Especially my Dad's habit of making me drive to a steep hill with a stop sign at the top. Learned real well how to use a clutch doing that!
Right now, it's harder and harder to get stick shifts. My truck is an automatic. My wife's car has a stick, but it's going to be replaced very soon, and I don't know if a stick shift will be available on its replacement. If it's an auto, my daughter will have to learn to drive on the Willys. And she will not be given a choice in the matter.
